You may purchase a copy of the Models of Hope book for your child, table guests, or relatives to support PANDA, but it is not required. The production of the book, Models of Hope: Children Helping Children is funded entirely by Allison Tyler Jones Photography, Inc. and Decesare Design Group, Inc.

There is no charge for participating and no obligation to buy anything.

Because we are donating our time and studio space, and have more than 60 models booked for this project, it will be very difficult to accommodate changes outside of the scheduled dates. It is best to bring just your child(ren) being photographed and yourself. We get the best results from children when we have their full attention. If there are friends present, your child may be distracted and not have the full value of their short time with our team.

We ask that you arrive 5-10 mins BEFORE your scheduled session. The session itself will take approximately 10 minutes per child. We also advise that you not have anything important scheduled too soon after your session time so we can allow for unforeseen delays and spend the full session time with your child.

Please ensure your child is ready to go as soon as you arrive, have their hair styled the way you want it, their face wiped clean of any food, teeth brushed, etc.

There is no need to give your child any special instructions about what to do or how to smile, stand, etc. Our team has years of Mom Experience so we’ve got this!

It is most important that they feel comfortable and can be themselves. That confidence will produce the best results in photos.

We will be asking for topics your child is interested in so our team will be prepared to engage your child and set them at ease.

We are not above booty-shaking or acting like crazy people; whatever it takes to elicit REAL EXPRESSION from your child.

Unless you think it best NOT to be in the room, we love to have parents present when their children are being photographed. It’s a great time to watch your kid in action–just don’t direct them! That’s our job.

A few suggestions that will help our team achieve the best image of your child:

DIRECTION: It is best to not direct your child – this allows our photographer to have their full attention during the session. We are looking for a wide range of moods and expressions so it is fine if your child is not smiling, if they are acting shy, even if they are uncooperative, we can make it work!

PHONES: If you’d like a behind-the-scenes pic of your child being photographed, please capture it right at the start of the session when we are setting up the lighting for your child and then, kindly, put your phone away. Otherwise your child will be distracted, looking at you instead of the camera and preventing the best possible result.

SIGN THE MODEL RELEASE: Your child/children cannot be featured in the Models of Hope book or in the luncheon program without a signed model release. Click here to sign the model release. We need one model release per child participating.

This will not be possible for this event. However, you may further support PANDA by scheduling a full portrait session of all your children or family. A portion of each session fee will be donated to PANDA.

Allison & Stacey, the photographers, will select the images for both the luncheon program headshot as well as the Models of Hope book.

You will be able to view the images we capture of your child online during the month of January 2024. You can further support PANDA by purchasing fine art portraits from your session for your home or an album of your child’s images.
